Muktakaalu & Usha Agamanam was first published on 10 October 1970, publication number 7 of Sahithi Bandhu Brindam, Hanamkonda. Reprinted January 2026. The volume collects eight sub-collections written between 1957 and 1970, making it the earliest surviving dated Telugu free verse in the Swecchaa Kavithvam lineage. The opening Muktakalu verse announces the entire project: 'Kshanakshanam Maaruppondu Ee Jagatto' — 'This world changes moment by moment.' Usha Agamanam, Soundarya Shikha, and Rasakruti are dawn sequences set against the Warangal landscape. The earliest poem, Chaya (Shadow, 1957), was written when Ranga Rao was twenty-two. This is the lyric master before the philosopher — pure image, pure music.
